These lightweight hiking & trekking trousers from viavesto® are perfect for people who like to be active outdoors. Thanks to a functional material mix for maximum freedom of movement combined with various ventilation options and zip-secured pockets; the Camino trousers are a must-have for anyone who enjoys the outdoors.

Materials used

The outer material is our tried and tested viavesto fabric vi4TEX®, which is 100% mosquito-proof and has a sun protection factor of UPF 50+. This is achieved by the weave and not by chemical treatment.
The elasticated inserts are characterized by a high elastane content and are therefore super stretchy and allow maximum freedom of movement. The integrated lining is made of high-quality Coolmax Mesh® from DuPont. It ensures a pleasantly cool feel and is backed at the ventilation points.

Wearing properties

We use our lightweight, very hard-wearing viavesto fabric vi4Tex® as the base material for these trousers. The mosquito/sunproof fabric is woven from polyamide and organic cotton and has been tried and tested thousands of times. We have incorporated stretch inserts in the seat area for maximum freedom of movement. Combined with pre-shaped knee sections and ventilation in the upper slit- and leg leg pockets, the Camino trousers offer complete comfort. Gaiter-like Cordura reinforcements protect against scratchy branches, thorns and contact with rocks. Please note that only the viavesto fabric used in the trousers is mosquito and sunproof!

Areas of application

The Camino hiking and trekking trousers for men and women are not called ‘Camino’ for in Portuguese this means ‘path’. And that's why they are made to be your faithful companion on all your endeavors. The Camion trousers simply do it all. Feel comfortable and enjoy what you're doing!

The viavesto sewing facilities

Like all other viavesto® items, the Camino trousers are made in our sewing workshop near Porto in Portugal. All materials come from Portugal, except for the zips, which we source from Thuringia.

Function of the viavesto® ventilation system

The high-quality Coolmax Mesh® from DuPont is incorporated into all our articles, which ensures that the fabric does not lie directly on the skin. This creates a pleasantly cooling microclimate that protects you from the heat. The mesh material absorbs perspiration and creates a noticeable cooling effect through evaporation cooling. This keeps the inside of the fabric cooler than the outside, so that your skin feels dry and pleasantly fresh. This cooling effect is even enhanced in our shirts and slide-on trousers with additional ventilation zips.
